FAQs

When can I check in & when should I check out?
Check in time is at 15:00hrs and check out is at 11:00hrs. Should you like to either have an early check in or perhaps a late check out, subject to availability a nominal fee will apply. Kindly contact the Front Desk for assistance.

 

Do you provide transfers from the airport?
Yes. If you require a transfer you can send an e-mail to our reservations department on reservations.seashells@axhotelsmalta.com. Kindly send us your flight details and we will confirm the cost and details by return e-mail.

 

Transport services?
The main transport services include taxi service or public transport. Taxi services can be arranged by our Front Office Team. For more information about public transport please visit: //www.maltapublictransport.com.mt

 

Are Baby-Sitters available?
Yes, experienced Baby-Sitters are available to take care of your little ones. (24hour notice is required)

 

Baby Cots ?
Cots are provided free of charge. Please contact our Front Office Team/guest rElations.

 

Hairdryers?
Hairdryers are found in the bed room – usually in the drawer beneath the cooler.

 

Internet Corner?
Vouchers to make use of internet 24-Hours a day may be bought from the Front Desk.

 

Key Card?
For your own safety and security kindly present your key card when collecting the room key or debiting a charge to your room account. During meals, please present your key card to the restaurant manager.

 

Is there a Bicycle storage facility?
Bicycles may be stored at the Security Department situated at the back of the hotel. Kindly note that all bicycles will be stored in a room which is purposefully equipped with all the needed equipment including: bicycle rack, floor pump, repair stand and tool kit.

Where can I hire a car?
Car rental facilities are available from the Front Desk. The car hire company has a fleet of different models which are available to suit your particular needs and all are fully equipped. A valid driving licence from country of origin is required. Driving is on the left hand side!

 

What time are Petrol Stations open till?
Stations are open from Monday to Friday from 07:00 until 18:00 hours, on Saturdays from 07:00 until 15:00 hours. Automatic pumps are available on Sundays, Public Holidays and every day from 18:00 until 22:00 hours.

 

Are there any beaches nearby?
The nearest sandy beaches are Ghajn Tuffieha and Golden Bay (approx 20 min by car). Other sandy beaches include Mellieha Bay and Pardise bay. Both beaches are situated towards the north of the Island and approximately 20 minutes away by car. Frequent public transport service is also provided to these beaches.

 

Are there any Banking Facilities near by?
Banks are open from Monday to Saturday. Banks are also available in the area and an ATM is situated opposite the Hotel. The Hotel offers a 24-Hour foreign exchange service at the Front Desk.

I like to gamble occasionally, are there any Casinos?
Yes The Oracle Casino is in St. Paul’s Bay, a short walk away.

If I need a Doctor what should I do?
A doctor is on call round the clock, however, a “Polyclinic” is in close proximity of the hotel and the general hospital is about 15 minutes away by car.

 

Chemist / Pharmacy? 
For prescription, medicine or more specific requirements, contact our Front Office Team who will direct you to the nearest Pharmacy.

I would like to visit the places of interest in Malta. Are Excursions available?
Yes excursions are available to various destinations in Malta & Gozo. Our Front Office Personnel have all the information and can assist you with the information and bookings.

Flowers can be ordered at an additional price at the front desk from Monday to Friday.


Are shops available in the hotel?

A selection of gifts, souvenirs and Local or Foreign Newspapers are available from the Gift Shop situated on (-1) level.

 

Are there any shops near the hotel?
A variety of shops are available in Qawra and Bugibba nearby.

 

How about a game of Golf?
Sure, an 18-hole golf course this is available at the Marsa Sports Club. Golf Clubs and trolleys may be booked with the stewards at the Club.

 

How about Horse Riding?
If you are interested in horse riding, the receptionist will give you full details. For booking please apply at the Front Office 24 hours beforehand.

 

Diving Centre / Water Sports (Summer Only)
Qualified instructors can cater for both the professional and inexperienced. For enquiries please contact our diving school or the Front Office Team.

 

Where can I get a Taxi?
From the Front Desk we can organize taxis through a reputable firm which has fixed charges.

 

Can Sight Seeing Tours booked at the resort?
A variety of excursions can be arranged by our Front Office Team.

 

Can one use bathroom towels at the pool?
No, Bathroom towels may not be used at the pool.

 

Do you offer a beach towel service?
Yes, from front office one can hire beach/pool towels at a minimal eco charge.

 

Are not-slip mats available in bathrooms?
Yes they are provided on request.

 

Does the hotel provide maid service?
Daily maid service is available. Full maid service including change of linen is done every 4th day from arrival day.

 

Is there an adult only pool in the hotel?
The hotel has two major pools which are The Sun and Surf Pool and Luzzu Pool. The latter (Luzzu Pool) is for adults only.

 

Is WIFI free of charge?
Basic WIFI is free of charge in all hotel rooms and areas. Premium WIFI is available at a charge.

 

Are safety deposit boxes available?
Yes, all hotel rooms have a safe which is free of charge.

 

Can half board and all inclusive be purchased while on resort?
Yes one may upgrade to either half board or all inclusive at a charge. Rates are available at the reception desk.

 

Is the hotel wheelchair accessible?
All hotel public areas may be reached by ramp. Elevators lead to all floors and a wheelchair accessible bathroom is also available in the lobby and Ambassador Lounge/conference area.

 

Is an iron-board provided?
There is an ironing room on the 4th floor where guests may do their ironing.

 

Is there a conference room?
The hotel offers conference space for  groups of 20 persons to 380 persons. For more information refer to info@seashellsresortmalta.com

 

Does the hotel stay open in the winter months?
Yes the hotel stays open all year round.

 

When was the hotel last refurbished?
The latest major refurbishment was done during winter 2014/15.

 

What’s the voltage?
Voltage in guest rooms is 240V. In the bathroom, for electrical razors only, there are two sockets, one 220V and another 110V American and European Standards. All guest rooms are equipped with three, three pin plugs as well as three, two pin continental plugs.

 

Which Credit Cards can I use?
We accept American Express, Diners Club, Visa and Master Card. On check in you will be requested to fill in your card details on the registration card as a means to allow access to guarantee (pre authorization) for direct payment and extras which might be charged to
your account.

 

Dry Cleaning and Laundry
Dry Cleaning / Laundry service is available from Monday to Friday. 
Please hand in your Laundry before 09.00 hours and will be returned the following day at the normal rates.

 

Where are meals served?

  • Breakfast and late breakfast is served between 07:00hrs till 11:00hrs in the Coral Cove Restaurant.
  • Lunch is served between 12:30hrs to 15:30hrs in the Coral Cove Restaurant or Sun & Surf*
  • Dinner is served in The Coral Cove Restaurant/It-Tokk/Sun & Surf 18:30hrs till 21:30hrs
  • Sandwiches/Snacks from 10:30hrs to 23:00hrs at a designated bar or Sun & Surf*
  • Ice-cream from 10:30hrs to 23:00hrs at a designated bar or Sun & Surf**
  • All meals are served buffet style
  • Children Menu is served daily at Coral Cove Restaurant
  • BBQ Themed Dinner (June Onwards – Weather permitting)
  • *One outlet will be open at any one time.
  • **Ice-cream is served by the scoop.

 

Gratuities
You will find that in most hotels and restaurants, a service charge is included in the price. Waiters and taxi drivers expect a tip of approximately 10 to 15 percent of the bill. At the Seashells Resort at Suncrest Hotel there is no service charge and gratuities are left to your discretion.
