Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in Style at Cheeky Monkey

A Designated Day for Drinking!

Cheeky Monkey Gastropub in Qawra will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in style this year! 17th March is undoubtedly a day to wear, drink, eat and celebrate the green and this year it’s going to be bigger than before thanks to the forthcoming participation of Turas; an Irish seven piece traditional ballad group that was formed in 2001.

Turas will not only perform live music at Cheeky Monkey on this popular Irish holiday, but the group will also play its classy melody on the 12th, 13th and 14th of March entertaining local and foreign hosts present at this popular venue in the North of Malta.

Cheeky Monkey Gastropub hosts various gigs during the year and is known for being the place where people can enjoy themselves and the company of their friends while eating good food and drinking beer. This Gastropub is situated opposite the AX Seashells Resort at Suncrest which is one of the sponsors of St. Patrick’s festival in Valletta, taking place on Sunday 13th March and organised by the Irish Maltese Circle. Turas will also be one of the bands performing at the parade.

This is not the first time that Turas is performing in Malta. Three years ago the group treated guests at the AX Seashells Resort at Suncrest to a wonderful Irish medley, leaving a remarkable impression on many Maltese and tourists. Turas have so far released two albums with the third being released on this year’s Easter Sunday to commemorate the centenary of the Easter Rising of 1916.
