Valletta Film Festival

 

Valletta will be turned into an open cinema from Friday 8th June to Saturday 17th June. The official programme for the Valletta Film Festival will include 40 feature films, 27 short films and various masterclasses and talks. A rare occasion when the city becomes a cinema!

 

Malta Music Week

June is when Malta Music Week takes place from the 27th June to the 1st of July. This week features various activities from club nights to live concerts including the infamous Ise of MTV. Malta Music Week witnessed events featuring big international artists such as Calvin Harris, the Chainsmokers, Pete Tong, and more.

MFCC Malta Trade Fair

 

The MFCC Malta Trade Fair is the largest commercial event in Malta, happening from the 28th of June till the 8th of July. Various companies participate in this event to bring the best bargains to the consumer. This is an enjoyable event for all the family.

 

L-Imnarja

 

L-Imnarja is one of the oldest feasts celebrated on the Maltese Islands. Happening on the 29th of June, L-Imnarja commemorates two important saints, St Peter and St Paul. The word is derived from the Latin word that means to light up. This feast is celebrated at Buskett Gardens in which there will be numerous horse and donkey races.

 

Malta International Arts Festival

 

The Malta International Arts Festival opens on the 29th June and carries on with events and exhibitions until the 15th of July. This festival is a celebration of music, visual arts, theatre, dance, opera, installations, films and various interactive events. The festival’s highlights include the concert by Royal Concergebouw Orchestra and the show by the Italian dance company No Gravity.
